Exploring Music

I do believe that the Jimmy Hendrix piece can come off as offensive. They are turning it into more of a concert instead of something we honor our country with. It is understandable that they want to put a new twist on it but sometimes the original needs to be all that is produced. Now the harmonization of The Stravinsky piece was i believe in a lower key than the original. The harmonization of this was very lovely and I’ve never heard it played this way but it was very beautiful. I don’t think Stravinsky’s piece was not offensive at all because there were only slight changes made in the harmonization, but the melody was kept the same.

I believe people did get offended from this because of the twist they are putting on it, and people back then just like people now want the star spangled banner to be original and still hold value that it used to. It is beginning to lose value compared to what it used to be.
